Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back with an encore available until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
